January & February 2017 Favourites

Hi everyone!

So I decided to combine my January & February 2017 Favourites. I became aware I'd not posted it so I thought it would be easier to just combine the two as one post and then split it so it's clear to see which month they are from.

The Ordinary Boys - Lonely At The Top
I'm not 100% sure what made me rediscover this song, but I'd not heard it for years when I searched for it. And it's been on constant replay from late December.

Kasabian - Fire
Danny Dyer's appearance on Lip Sync Battle UK is what caused me to remember how much of a great track this is.

Ciara - Speechless
I ended up listening to Ciara's Basic Instinct album whilst finishing an essay and really found myself wondering how I'd not listened before! Speechless stood out for me and I've been loving it ever since.

Jason Derulo - Bubblegum
I found myself listening to Jason Derulo's album Talk Dirty during January and this was one of the catchiest tracks I found.
Jason Derulo - Zipper
Another of Jason Derulo's tracks which got played on repeat whilst doing my essay, I have a huge amount of love for Jason Derulo! He is brilliant!

Ariana Grande - Lovin' It
I had a little it of a listen to one of Ariana's earlier albums and had Lovin' It on repeat as I was writing essays. It's soo catchy and easy to listen to.

Gwen Stefani - CrashI loved Gwen Stefani's Love Angel Music Baby during my childhood and I did end up listening to it while working and became particularly obsessed with Crash.

Lethal Bizzle & Grime All Stars - Pow (2011 Original Edit)
I absolutely love the beat of this track, it's got such a hype to it and I've been listening to Lethal Bizzle recently, and this became my new favourite.

Skepta - Shutdown
I remember this being in my Favourites last summer, but honestly it just came round again in my playlists and I was listening to it loads.

Ed Sheeran - Shape Of YouThis is literally one of the catchiest songs I've heard in a while and I love it. Definitely one of my favourite Ed Sheeran songs, there will be more of him in my next Favourites post as I love a lot of the tracks from 'Divide' his new album.

Leona Lewis - Forgive Me
I'm not sure what led to me rediscovering this, but it's been another track I've been listening to loads throughout February, and it at the time I enjoyed the fact it was an upbeat track as opposed to the ballads she had released at the time.
NYX Lingerie - Beauty Mark
I tried out another of the NYX Lingerie range 'Beauty Mark' which was quite a daring choice for me as I've actually never worn such a brown toned lipstick in my life, but I've slowly adapted myself to it and although it's one I tend to wear for a night out, it's still a gorgeous colour and I love the matte effect of it. NYX do such good quality lip products for such a fab price!!

I appreciate that this post is super late, but I have a 3 week break from uni now so I intend to try and get back to regular blogging!!

Life Update: What's Been Happening?

Hey everyone!

First of all, long time no see! I feel like I owe it to you to post an update post as I have been extremely absent with blog posts recently and I'm extremely sorry. Sometimes uni life definitely takes over!

One of my assignments was actually a blogging related module and ever since that work, I was really struggling with motivation and confidence and ideas for this blog. It wasn't what I wanted but somewhere I just lost all my confidence and ideas. Annoying right?!

In terms of uni, I recently said that there's times where I'm really proud of myself and times where I literally feel extremely stressed and miserable. There's no in between. It's definitely important for me to grow through these experiences, but whilst the less motivational days are actually happening, it isn't fun!

I feel like very recently, the social side of my anxiety has been playing up massively, I've definitely been struggling with confidence in just generally believing in myself.
I also keep having what I'd describe as a constant voice of doubt in the back of my mind making me doubt every thing I seem to be doing. It just makes me constantly afraid that I'm hurting someone or my actions are the wrong ones for either myself or others. It's really playing with my emotions which can be frustrating. This is a side of anxiety which hasn't always been as prominent as what it is now, but I am trying to find ways to somewhat deal with it.

Also, even while there's been social anxiety moments which have had me questioning how I'm so unconfident, there's definitely been moments where I've been extremely proud of myself, including recently a very, very spontaneous night out with very low amounts of anxiety!

However, I have definitely been writing a few blog posts recently and want to try and get back into some kind of schedule!

I'm thinking of doing a few other Uni related posts in terms of either reflecting on my first year (that will be later on when it's finished obviously) and dealing with anxiety in a university environment. Do let me know if these would be interesting!!

Love & hugs,
