December 2017 Favourites

I'm trying to get back to the regular monthly favourites posts as they are some of my favourites to read, so in an attempt to get back on track, I bring you the things I've been loving during December 2017. I am aware this is a little late for a Favourites post for December but it's all good!!

Makeup Revolution Redemption Iconic Palette 2
I mentioned this in my 2017 Favourites post but this palette is so good! The pigmentation is great and there's a fab collection of different shades which all happen to be ones I use the most. It's also extremely travel friendly too, which is definitely a bonus as you can have all your shades in one place!

Lottie London Slay All Day Liquid Lipstick - Hun:
This liquid lipstick is an absolutely lovely pale pink shade, it feels light on the lips and dries reasonably quickly! I also like the name of the shade, 'Hun' as it reminds me of Imogen Hudson (Imogenation) who calls her subscribers her 'huns'. It's a really wearable shade and I feel like it would suit a lot of people.

Zoella Snowella Spray
Another product which featured in the 2017 Faves post, but I do believe the Snowella scent is one of my favourites of Zoella Beauty to date. It's gorgeous and I've been spraying this so much since I got it a few months back. I'm heartbroken it's limited edition.

Gingerbread Reed Diffuser
I've had this in my room as I love the gingerbread scent around this time of year and although it was a little hard to get into, once we got the scent going, it's been so cosy! Basically smells like my room is a tiny bakery, it's gone down very well!

Charli XCX ft Dorian Electra & Mykki Blanco - Femmebot
Charli XCX - Superlove
Charli XCX - Need Ur Luv
Charli XCX ft Kim Petras & Jay Park - Unlock It
Marina & The Diamonds - Homewrecker
Marina & The Diamonds - Teen Idle
Kelis ft Andre 3000 - Millionaire
Basement Jaxx - Bingo Bango
Ed Sheeran & Beyoncé - Perfect
DMX - Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer

Shameless (US)

Volvic Strawberry Water
I'd never tried strawberry water until about 5/6 months ago and now I seem to drink it so much. I love the big 750ml bottles you can buy as part of the meal deal because I’m someone who always forgets to drink enough water and by finishing a 750ml bottle, I feel proud of myself!

Thank you so much for reading!

Dedicated To My Gran

So as you will have seen from the title of this post, it's a dedication to my Gran, who was one of my favourite people in my life.

She sadly passed away 3 days before Christmas, which was very hard-hitting, especially as family is such a big part of Christmas.

Even though she didn't live close to me, travelling down for weekends was a huge part of my childhood and holds some of my most favourite childhood memories. Even though they changed as I grew up and when my grandad passed, I still enjoyed going to visit her. I have some really lovely memories going there and even though things had changed a lot since the days of my childhood when we'd go, it's really really hard to accept that I'm not going to have any more of them. Even knowing the house will be sold makes me feel sad.

What I think really sunk in for me personally, was at her funeral, when the reverend discussed how she had looked after my grandad and put his care before everything in her life when he became ill with MS. Obviously I saw how much she cared for him when I was younger until he died when I was 13, but really thinking back, she cherished him so much and cared for him no matter what till the very end and that's something I feel to be very admirable from her. Seeing her change so much when my grandad passed was hard, but she had been so brave for so long.

She was one of the warmest people I've met and I think I got a lot of my characteristics from her, she was always very funny and very caring and I loved spending time with her. She was always full of compliments and wanted to hear about how I was doing. We also both loved the colour purple, and I know that she loved birds and she loved flowers too and that was quite often my job when I was around, to water the plants in her garden. When I was younger as well we would talk about Strictly as well, as she was a big fan and as am I.

I just wanted to dedicate this post to her and seeing as this blog has some personal aspects to it and isn't just beauty and lifestyle, I felt like it was only right to cover something which has happened in my life, and that I've been trying to acknowledge. She was one of the most amazing people and I will always miss her.

Morphe 360 Plum Palette Review

Hi everyone!

Welcome back, I hope you're all well!

This post is a review on the Morphe 360 Plum Palette, which I receieved at Christmas, I'd had my eye on purchasing a Morphe palette for a while and decided to go for it at Christmas.
I decided to try out the Morphe 360 Plum Palette specifically because I had been looking at the palettes and noticed that this one features purple tones, as well as the usual casual day to day shades. I also liked the way it had different finishes, there's some matte and some sparkly which definitely drew me in as I like a bit of both depending on my mood.

This palette has me shocked! It's an absolute bargain, for £23 on BeautyBay, 35 different eyeshadows, is amazing. Not only that, but absolutely incredible quality. They are so pigmented, there's little to no fallout and they are so easy to apply and blend. It's a stunning palette and I'm very impressed by it, I know that you are only allowed to buy certain numbers of the Morphe palettes, but honestly, this one has really become one of my favourite products. Also, with there being 35 different eyeshadows, you have got so many different looks to create and that's extremely exciting.

The only downsides I'd say are that the palette isn't very travel friendly although I think you can buy little travel cases so you can take out the shades you want, it also doesn't have a mirror, which can be tricky, but honestly when it comes to the eyeshadows themselves they are absolutely breathtaking. Every time I open the palette I'm in awe of them!!

I'd definitely recommend this particular Morphe palette if you're into your darker more plum shades, it's a really good deal! You get what you pay for and more with this!

Have you ever tried any of Morphe's palettes?

My 2018 Goals

I know a lot of these 2018 goals type posts can be extremely repetitive and slightly cheesy but I really want to make a conscious effort to actually go through with all of them! I'm 21 now and I feel like I want to really just throw myself into life. I want to achieve things and I want to be a happier and healthier person both body and mind. I'll stop rambling now and actually present you with my goals!

* Be more resilient
I've spent a lot of time not getting back up as quickly as I should do, when anxiety strikes me. I really want to be more resilient in 2018. As I mentioned I wanted to achieve more in 2018, I feel like this would hugely benefit it. I just don't want to have myself stressing over dramas.

* Try therapy
I've been debating on this for a while, but I'm wondering about going to see a counsellor or therapy concerning my anxiety. I've noticed a difference in my anxiety admittedly, but I've noticed that when my anxiety gets bad, it gets really bad. I want to try and control my thoughts and try not to be such a loose cannon. I was disappointed in myself just before I broke up for uni because some of my old anxiety symptoms returned out of nowhere, which somewhat unsettled me a little and I think following from my dad's illness in the summer, I've definitely been worrying a lot more than I was before. I want to attempt to make my mind a healthier place.

* Get a summer job
I was going to do this last year but with the way everything was I didn't manage to. I know this will be very difficult but hopefully I can push past my anxiety and go for it.

* Drink More Water
I say this almost every year but I definitely don't drink enough water. I need to try and actually drink enough water so my body isn't dehydrating. The main problem is the cold water in my uni house is so annoying because it takes ages for it to run cold so out of laziness from waiting around for it to get cold and stay cold makes me drink less of it.

* Be more confident in my life/in myself
Whether it means receiving counselling, I really, really want to try and be more confident in my life and myself. My anxiety's been playing up to the point where I lose confidence in everything and I just want to be able to feel confident in my own decisions and my own world. Confidence is always something I've struggled with so I'm probably being a bit hopeful about this but I want to try.

* Change my hair
Admittedly, I've had pretty much the same hairstyle and colour my whole life really. I have been meaning to do this for a while but I really want to do a change to my hair. Not sure what kind of change it will be yet but I've watched to purple dip dye my hair for ages but I've never gotten round to doing it haha!

Consistent blogging
I've accepted that 2017 was a shitty year for this blog but I want 2018 to be the year I bring it back to the forefront.

Do you have any goals for 2018? Let me know in the comments or link me to your resolution posts!
